Talk:Pale white-eye
Same photo as Abyssinian white-eye
[edit]This page uses the same photograph as the Abyssinian white-eye page. However, it's specifically noted in the article that they're different species. The image source says that it's Zosterops abyssinicus, but seems to have been taken at around the time the species distinction was being made so I'm not sure the photographer would have distinguished them. Though to my untrained eye having learned about these birds half an hour ago, it looks like Zosterops flavilateralis is typically yellower underneath than Zosterops abyssinicus, so I'd guess that the label on the picture is accurate. If that's so, then this article needs a new image. I do not know enough about Wikipedia-ing to trust myself to add images, though, so I'm just leaving this note on the off-chance someone cares enough about random stub bird articles to handle that. (I only noticed because I was opening every Zosterops page trying to identify one.) 75.143.90.121 (talk) 20:59, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- I've removed the photo from this article. It lacks the yellow plumage and was taken in northern Ethiopia which is outside the range of the pale white-eye. Aa77zz (talk) 07:01, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
